Grimes
Claire Elise Boucher is a Canadian musician and singer from Canada. There are many styles of her first music was described as "lo fi R&B" and "futuristic dance-pop". The artist has added elements from hip hop, electronic and rock. Her songs often incorporate science-fiction and feminist themes within her lyrics. Five albums have come out. Grimes was raised in Vancouver, and then moved to Montreal in 2000. Grimes started releasing her music in solo fashion in the early 2000s. There were albums out by Arbutus Records in 2010, Geidi Primes as well as Halfaxa in 2010. The album was released in 2012 and Visions will be her third studio effort. Grimes signed with 4AD. Visions has two singles "Genesis" and "Oblivion" as well as being awarded an award called the Juno Award in Canada for Electronic Album of the year. Her fourth studio album Art Angels was released in the year 2015. The album received high marks by critics and a variety of journals voted it as the best album. In 2020, she dropped Miss Anthropocene (her fifth studio album). Grimes is the judge for Alter Ego, a music contest. She was a part that of Cyberpunk 2077 2020 role-playing game.
